Walking in a Winter Wonderland
As it’s such a romantic time of year, you want to make sure you set the romance levels high, so why not plan a trip to an enchanting light trail. You will find many beautiful, decadent Stately Homes across the UK that create spectacular light shows in their grounds. You will find romantic pathways for you to stroll together hand-in-hand and as you take in the festive sparkle that surrounds you both, the ring can appear as if by magic!
A few of my favourite light trails to consider are; Chatsworth House, Waddesdon Manor and Kew Gardens, but remember to make sure you wrap up warm!
Mistletoe & Wine
Are you both foodies and love the buzz of being around others at Christmas? Then consider arranging a day or evening trip to a festive Christmas Market where you can enjoy festive nibbles as you stroll pass log cabins filled with homemade ornaments and trinkets. Most Markets have ice skating rinks, fairground rides, mulled wine and the most delicious food stalls you can find. As the evening draws to a close, find the perfect spot to pop the question!

O Christmas Tree
A very popular way to propose at Christmas time is to hide the ring amongst your Christmas Tree. There are so many beautiful baubles you can purchase that allows you to hide the ring inside, meaning your unassuming fiancé-to-be won’t have a clue what the bauble holds inside.
You could propose on Christmas Eve by mentioning that you have an early Christmas present for your partner but they need to find it first, or even wait until Christmas Day when all of the presents have been unwrapped and you’re both sipping on egg-nog whilst gazing at your beautiful Christmas tree.
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
A similar way to propose to a bauble on your Christmas tree is for you to wrap the ring up as a gift – however if you are proposing with a present, remember to disguise the ring box in a larger gift box to maintain the surprise!
Run Rudolph Run
This is a really sentimental way to propose if you have a fur-baby (or even a real baby!) You can dress your perfect pooch or child/children in personalised jumpers that asks your partner the question (this is also a great way to propose if you are a bit shy and need a helping hand).

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
If you both love snuggling up on the sofa and watching movies, then why not have a festive movie night in? You can set out all of your favourite nibbles, light some candles and snuggle up under a cosy blanket. Then with the twinkling glow from your Christmas tree lights and a romantic movie in the background, when the time is right, pop the question!
Kiss Me Underneath the Mistletoe
Who doesn’t love a kiss under the mistletoe in the festive season? It’s a very old tradition that is the epitome of romance at Christmas time, so why not hang some mistletoe in one of your favourite spots and as you kiss, pull out the ring box ready to give your partner the ultimate surprise!
Christmas Cookies
Do you both love to bake or cook together? You could plan to make Christmas cookies or Gingerbread men together and when your partners head is turned, simply cut out the words ‘Will you Marry Me?’ Then pop them in the oven and ask your partner to take the tray out once cooked and ta da! A home-made Christmas proposal!)

I’m a Little Christmas Cracker
This may be another popular way to propose on Christmas Day. You could place the ring inside a Christmas Cracker and once you’ve finished your delicious Christmas Day dinner, you can pull the cracker with your partner and BANG, their engagement ring appears!
Bonus tip: remember to think thoroughly about where you will pull the cracker as the last thing you want is for it to fly across the room and end up under your furniture!
O Holy Night
If you are both music lovers then why not find a charming carol concert in a cathedral? You can spend the evening singing along to Christmas carols whilst you sip on mulled wine and have a mince pie or two. (You could even speak to the Dean or Priest to see if you could make a special request!)
And most of all, when planning your perfect proposal, make it about the two of you – this will make your proposal the most memorable moment of your lives!
However you choose to propose this Christmas, I hope this has given you inspiration to pop the question to your true love.
