After much anticipation, Pantone have released their Colour of 2022: Very Perri. Described as ‘a dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet red undertone’, the colour represents a courageous presence which encourages personal inventiveness and creativity.
Lots of couples are loving this trend for their wedding and you can definitely see why – it has underlying tones of mystery and magic, a perfect addition for a couple wishing to surround their wedding with a sense of surprise and excitement.

Flowers
When following the Very Perri trend with your flowers, I would definitely look to combining lilac, purple and pale blue flowers within your displays and bouquets. This allows you to create depth into your overall look and feel into your wedding styling.
There are so many beautiful flowers out there for you to choose from! From hydrangeas, to roses, to delphiniums and orchids, there are so many options when you are looking for lilac flowers for your wedding day. On the other hand, finding blue flowers can be a bit more difficult but you still have the option of hydrangeas, Brunnera macrophylla and iris’.
Bonus Tip: Always ask your florist which flowers will be in season when you have your wedding as this is likely to mean that the flowers will be a lower price than if you were to buy these when they are out of season.

Bridesmaid Dresses
Sometimes adding colour to your wedding day can be a bit daunting, so if you’re thinking of neutral tones for your flowers, having your bridesmaids or groomsmaids in the Very Perri shade is a lovely way to add that pop of colour into your wedding day.
Finding the perfect bridesmaid/groomsmaid dresses can be difficult, one of my top tips would be to consider having different shades of the same colour and/or different styles of dresses in the same colour. Not every shape will suit the same dress, therefore this is the perfect way to make sure all of your girls feel comfortable on your big day!

Groomsmen Attire
We can’t forget the Groomsmen out there now can we? Adding a Very Perri bow tie or handkerchief to the Groom and Groomsmens outfits is a subtle way of including them in the theme. What’s even better is that Very Perri can be combined with several suit colours. From grey, to cream, to white or even a black tux, you can add the beautiful, calming tone to your wedding day without worrying if it will match or not.

Table Décor: Candles, Napkins and Stationery
Very Perri combines perfectly with other pastel tones, allowing your tablescape to look truly magical. If you would like to add different depths to your colour palette, you could incorporate dusky pink roses, peach peonies, or even blue hydrangeas to really highlight the fantasy and mystic surrounding this beautiful tone.
Bonus Tip: Don’t forget a pop of greenery! By adding a contrasting colour to your floral displays, you instantly lift the décor and design of your wedding day.

Cake
This is where you can really add the Very Perri wedding trend into your big day. From Macarons in shades of purple, to pretty pastel cakes, to lilac-hued iced biscuits, this is where your colour palette and delicious sweet treats can combine and offer your guests a dessert to remember!
